Archive Controls

Your archive controls are the area where you have access to all things posted in your rooms and corks.
Each archive has a size limit of how much can be viewed and not "previewed". 
You have a limited set of options available for them.
Please keep in mind, (for soi accounts) that there are multiple servers.
If you are not 'on the same server' for an account, you will not 'see' the archives.
So it is best to go to the room in question first, then to archives to make sure everything you need is visable.

Archive Directory

When in your 'Archive Directory' you will  have the following options.
For now archives can only be transfered to a new name not imported or exported.
This options are currently on the soi 'Wish List' but have not as yet, been approved by Seph.

The basic set up is this
First Column is the name of the room. It states whether the room is active or archived. 
As well as when the file was first created.

Second Column is how large the file size is.

Third Column is your options for how to handle each file.

View

Clicking this button will allow you to see the archives for a room or cork in the listing on the page. Up to the current limit of size. Anything over that, will be clipped from the preview. In order to fully read a clipped archive you will have to restore it to the room. 

Archive / Restore

If a room file is currently active and being added to, it will have 'Archive' as the button option.
When you press the archive button all the data is moved to a file and set aside as 'Archived Room -Room ID-'
If the room is already Archived the button option here will say, "Restore"
A data archive can only be restored if there is no active file listed. 
Make sure to delete any active files that say [EMPTY] before trying to restore, or it will fail to load back into the room.
If you delete an [Empty] then go back and enter the room, even if you do not post, a new Active File will be created and you will have to delete it again in order to restore an archived file.

Delete

Your next button option is 'Delete' if you are sure that you no longer need a file you can delete it.
Please be sure you want to do this. This action can not be undone.
Once a file is deleted it can not be restored.

Move To

If you are transfering a room to another account, and you want the posts in the room to go as well, then make sure you transfer them first. Put the name of the ID you are sending them to into the text box then press the move button. Once that is done, you can do the same in room controls. Or if you just want to move archives to a new account. The only problem with that is, that you may have a hard time accessing them again if the room is not also on that account, due to multiple servers in soi.

Compress

This  option is used to reduce file size of an archive.

Erase Whispers

If you tick this box, you can erase all whispers from the archives, yours as well as others.
However, you can not see other people's whispers in the view section. 
They are still there in view, but you can remove them with this option.
